my name's janeanne. well, actually, it's not. that's fictionalized, but it has the same feel as my real name.
in any event, this is going to be a collection of what anecdotes, factoids, and musings i have, told as if in conversation. perhaps it will emulate actual conversation i will experience one day at a party, maybe, or awkwardly at a wedding reception or maybe in the backseat of a dirty jeep after losing my virginity.

ben macleod-- my best friend's (see: molly) older brother. joining the marines. dropped out of high school at fifteen. interesting. philosophical. well-read, intelligent. slightly narcissistic. had great beard, shaved it.
molly macleod-- my best friend. known since seventh grade. friends since eighth grade. interesting and fun, though childish. has douchey boyfriend. enjoys anime and british humor. dreams of being an architect and walking around in men's shirts with no pants on. brilliant, prettier than me, can be incredibly harsh. love her.
mr. macleod (aka "dad"
-- ben & molly's father. member of mensa. overvalues intelligence. brilliant. makes lame puns. has intelligent sense of humor. devout catholic, holier-than-thou attitude.
gina-- good friend. short, shrill, intelligent. spacey. can be incredibly harsh and unkind. insightful and intuitive. this sounds like a horoscope. friends since sixth grade, when her parents divorced. child of 1 redneck and 1 jew, acts like it. confused as to who she is.
