34762Y114 In the Garden of Eden myth, humans are ~

Q&@

PUNISHED FOR
THEIR CURIOSITY AND
FOR THEIR WISH TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE?
G d expels them from Paradise! In the Garden of Woolsthorpe myth,
nobody punishes Newton - just the opposite! Thanks to his curiosity humankind gains
a better understanding of the universe, becomes more powerful and takes another step
towards the technological paradise? Untold numbers of teachers throughout the world recount
the Newton myth to encourage curiosity, implying that if only we gain enough knowledge, we can
create paradise here on earth?! In fact, "G d" is present even in the Newton myth: Newton himself 'is G d'(like)!?
When biotechnology, nanotechnology & the other (countless) fruits of science ripen, Homo sapiens will attain
divine powers & come full circle back to the Biblical Tree of Knowledge! Archaic hunter-gatherers were just another
species of animal. Farmers saw themselves as the apes of creation. Scientists wìll (want to) upgrade us to 'gods'...
Whereas the Agricultural Revolution gave rise to theist religions, the Scientific Revolution gave birth to humanist
religions, in which humans 'replaced gods"! While theists worship theos (Greek for 'god'knipoog, humanists worship
humans! The founding idea of humanist religions such as liberalism, communism, fascism/nazism a.s.o. is that
Homo sapiens has some unique and SÁCRED ÈSSENCE that is the source of all meaning & authority in the
Universe
? Everything that happens in this Cosmos is judged to be good or bad according to its impact òn
Homo sapiens
...... Whereas theism justified traditional agriculture in the 'name of God', humanism has justified
Modern Industrial Farming
in 'the name of Man'.........
