Forgive me!

I forgive myself that I allowed others to control
my thoughts and feelings.

I forgive myself that I gave away the right
to define myself to others.

I forgive myself that I have had
such high demands on myself.

I forgive myself for all the times
I said yes even though I wanted to say no.

I forgive myself that I turned a blind eye
to my needs in order to please others.

I forgive myself for all the times I felt guilt,
without being guilty.

I forgive myself that I did not see
my own power and believed in my abilities.

I forgive myself that I did not really understand
that I was worthy to be loved as I am

Now a new day begins, an unwritten future
and I will listen to my inner voice.
All is forgiven and I’m on my way home!
