Free fall
Sometimes it scares me how easy it seems to fall.
It surprises me how long it can take before I hit bottom.
When I fall, there's no ending to it.
When I hit bottom, there's no way up.
I did get up today.
And if I hadn't been where I was last night,
I wouldn't have known that it still existed.
I think I'm getting more surprised every day
by those dreadful places my mind can take me.
