as the night set in
the dark thoughts were all present
but within this darkness
there is one light
my deepest light placed
in the bottom of my heart
it is a little flame
that keeps only the few warm
that reside there
no it is not the depth of missery
no it is not the depth of trouble
it is my little place of love
where all love is kept in dark chambers
so no one will venture there
without the fullest trust
and those who trust
are rewarded with the flame's
warmth and comfort
as they get nearer and nearer
the brightness becomes overwhelming
the warmth inviting
like a fireplace it flickers
like the sun it is all present
and the rooms fill with the light
and the love comes out
and you are showered
in my birth from within the fire
and then you may leave and enter again
finding your way in to the darkness of my heart
knowing it is dark
to keep you save from prying eyes
