hoping they meant something different
should have known better
why would this story have a happy end

always behind a sideline
never getting a foot between the door
just running behind
the same story like ever before

can't keep up
too late i hear about the sings i see
getting there eventually
they only feel sorry for me

i'm just another fool
who thinks someday he will win
if i'd only know
where to find the door to get in
