Val came round to collect envelope for Christian Aid
She's a good soul, visits the dying in the Hospice,
I gave a couple of quid, but I have doubts about such far away charities.
I said my job was boring and all I liked doing was sitting in the garden.
Well that's wonderful she replied with a smile
And I'm thinking Did she hear me right?
Years ago I left her Home Group
and didn't go to the party.
Water under the bridge I hope.
