now that the day is done, i can go to sleep
knowing another day will see the light
this day had been going on for years
this day is finally to an end
maybe it should have taken far less than this
maybe i should have done things different
but i did what i did
and the day is finally done
i figured out how and what
and sadly i had to wait for that hour
the last few hours that matter
and now i know
the day is done
maybe tomorrow
maybe not
but today is done
and i can finally take a rest
sleep well
and maybe he will wake again
