A New Creation

In todays devotional from Sarah Young it says: Do not fear change, for I am making you a new creation, with old things passing away and new things continually on the horizon. When you cling to old ways and sameness, you resist My work within you. I want you to embrace all that I am doing in your life, finding your security in ME alone. Ask ME to open your eyes, so you can find all I have prepared for you in this precious day of Life.
My prayer today will be: Please God let me trust and find my security in you alone. Please increase my faith and my dependence on you. Open my eyes so that I can be everything that you created me to be. Also, please open my heart and mind so that I can find all you have prepared for me in this precious day of life.
The power that brought Jesus back to life is available to us to bring our spiritually dead selves back to life.
In 2 Corinthians 5:10 it states: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. So this encourages me to live life the way God intended my life to be lived. I want to receive all the praise and glory and please God with what I have done while I am here on earth in my earthly body. Because all that matters in this life is preparing for our eternal life in heaven where we receive a new body. But here on earth in 2 Corinthians 5:17 it states: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (I want to be that new creation and live within my abilities of my new created being...being mind-centered I am living in my dead body...in my spiritual-centered new creation I am renewing my mind daily to think and be like Christ) the old has gone the new has come! God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 6: ...we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. For he says: In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
I don't want to live anymore in my old body, my old ways, my old dependence on myself. It is not working for me. I want to live in my resurrected spirit that God has given me. In order to do this I need to renew my mind daily so that I think the way Christ thinks and I can receive all that he has given us by his resurrection taking the power away from sin and giving us the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today is my first entry and it is a great one because this is a new beginning for me. A new way of life that I want to live. I am sick, drained, dead in my spirit and it is showing in my life. I am going to shed the old me and live out the rest of my life in my new spirit which is full of power, healing, and renewal. Thank you Jesus for this opportunity to be reconciled to God and to be able to live as a new creation with your power harnessed in me. Please give me the faith, the perseverance and power to tap into this harnessed energy and be the person YOU created me to be AND to receive all that you have intended for me to receive.
