the monster woke
the boy slept through the night
he never noticed
the wings were spread
soft touching the air he floats on
smelling the fresh night breese
wonderrously at ease
the monster flew
while the boy dreamt
of simpel things
that make life so complicated
the monster takes good care
guess never noticed he was there
a fragile landing
on the sober morning wind
as the storm came rushing
