yet another way to go

he walked
just like always
it was nothing different
were it not for the jerrycans in his hands

like he was going to fuel his car
no one cared

he walked to the town square
and sat down
smoking a sigaret on the bench in de middle
next to the garbage can

guess i don't have to explain

he stood up after his sigaret was finished

his walk was even harder now
the jerrycans were heavy
even heavier than before
how could he

yet he walked
and no one noticed

he went his way straight
no other deviation
he had his fill

a grey sky grew greyer
and darkness set in
street lights turned on
and a warm orange glow
embrased the streets

he had walked for two hours now
still with these heavy cans in his hands
