shriveled brain
In a scientific physical sense, it is hypothesized and proven to a large extent that impaired movement results in atrophy in certain brain structures. I can now understand why people say you should go out when you feel sad. Staying at home or any familiar exploited confinement just makes things worse. Enrich that white and gray matter with new synapses. Give yourself the illusion there may be out there something worth living and dying for
It (being stationary and wanting to do nothing) does contradict the evolotionary drive of survival. Who wants a shriveled brain? What other person would want to reproduct with someone having a shriveled brain? Some scientific reseach do contradict our 'illusional' sense of our free will and how we feel. I guess we all have to various extens a non sexual masochistic ego. Must be the tumors that are not defined as tumors.
Or the 'spooky' thing we call Soul.
